The UT Series is the industry's thinnest printed battery currently in production, with a 30 percent slimmer laminate profile (as thin as 625 microns ~ 0.025 in). The batteries are extremely flexible and durable, even under high duty levels, and offer the same "green" advantages as the ST Series.
UT batteries are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Typical standard form factors are 1.5V, capable of delivering approximately 12 mAh of energy, with peak drain currents of at least 1 mA. Overall voltage, storage capacity and thickness can be adjusted according to each customer's power requirements.
Applications for UT batteries are virtually limitless across many industries, from consumer goods manufacturing, to financial services, retail, transportation, security, hospitality and gaming. A few ultra-thin form factor applications for Blue Spark UT batteries include:
- ISO thickness powered cards
- Transit tickets
- RFID smart labels, tags and cards
- Customer loyalty cards
- Interactive display gift cards
- Retail Merchandising
- New product form factors involving LED displays, miniature speakers and other electronic features
